AI Club

Oak Ridge High school offers a variety of clubs that students can join. These clubs give students the ability to interact with others who have similar interests and students are able to engage in activities on topics that they are passionate about. Students can either join a club or start their own. One of these clubs is the AI club, which stands for artificial intelligence. Here, students are able to meet peers who are also interested in learning about AI. The club’s main goal is to share and spread information about artificial intelligence. They help others get a better understanding of artificial intelligence and its capabilities, along with teaching them how to create code and projects/programs. They also teach key AI concepts, share the latest news on technological advancements, and discuss ethical concerns in artificial intelligence. So far they have discussed the history and background of artificial intelligence, along with data science models. They meet every other Friday at 4pm and each meeting runs for about 20-30 minutes. Fun links to websites are also posted on their google classroom for members to look and interact with. This is just one of the many clubs that Oak Ridge has to offer.
