Over the course of Covid-19, people have been looking for ways of entertainment. Watching TV shows, movies, and reading books has become very popular during quarantine times. According to Entertainment Weekly, one of the most-watched TV shows of 2020 is The Office. The Office is, as quoted from IMDb, “a mockumentary on a group of typical office workers.” From the article, Editorial Rotten Tomatoes, the two most popular movies from 2020 are Mulan and Birds of Prey. Mulan is, from The Film Synopsis, about a young girl trying “to save her ailing father from serving in the Imperial Army by disguising herself as a man to battle northern invaders in China.” Birds of Prey is about the Joker's ex-girlfriend, Harley Quinn joining superheroes to save a girl from an ‘evil crime lord.’ While watching television is a good source of entertainment, reading a book is also a good source of amusement. For the year 2020, the most popular book, according to Amazon Best Sellers is A Promised Land by Barack Obama. A Promised Land is written about Barack Obamas ‘presidential memoirs.’ The most popular young adult book, according to ReadBrightly is One of Us is Next by Karen M. McManus. This book is about a young girl who is “determined to continue a gossip app to carry on a boy named Simon’s legacy” (Entertainment Weekly). These TV shows, movies, and books have all been extreme hits during 2020.
