S.T.E.M Club

Oak Ridge has many clubs to help encourage students to get involved, and different club types help fill each students’ hobby. One specific club is the S.T.E.M. where members work together towards a common goal in the scientific field, using their young and creative minds. S.T.E.M. stands for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. That’s what the club focuses on, it helps students understand what career paths they might want to follow in any of the S.T.E.M. fields. The club helps prepare members, socially and mentally, for a future working with others in the scientific community. The club helps students distinguish themselves through the effort they put forth together. The club will allow members to make friends, discover new interests, and gain valuable experience through trial and error. The S.T.E.M. club meets every Tuesday and Wednesday at 4 p.m. Contact webs20298@eduhsd.k12.ca.us with any questions.

There are always plenty of clubs of everyone’s interests. Some other clubs on campus are the speech and debate club, where there are different categories and members speak on each category to enhance debate skills. Of course, there is also the Trojan Times, where we write stories and publish them in our school newspaper. There is even an Asian Culture club to help spread awareness of asian culture, traditions, and food. But as always, there are as many clubs as you can think of, and if there is a certain interest of yours that doesn’t have a club, you can start your own.
